GALLERY: Te’jun Texas Cajun offers seafood combos, plates along Keller Parkway

The Texas-based Cajun restaurant, Te’jun, hosted a grand opening event Oct. 7 for the community in Keller.

The details: Te'jun Texas Cajun offers seafood combos and plates with shrimp, crab, crawfish, corn and potatoes, according to its menu. The restaurant also offers build-your-own-salad options with chicken tenders or grilled shrimp.

Quote of note: “This has been a long and arduous process,” Co-owner Tammy Reid said of the restaurant's opening process. “It was all worth it. We are thankful for being [in Keller] and look forward to many, many years of being in this beautiful community."

1. North Beach & Champions View traffic signal
Project: A traffic light will be installed at the intersection of North Beach Street and Champions View Parkway. Intersection improvements include new pedestrian sidewalks, crosswalks, ramps and accessible pedestrian signals.
Update: Construction has begun.

Aroma Breakfast and Lunch, a family-owned and operated halal brunch spot, is now open in east Plano.


Owners Emad Jandali and Rafaa Sabouni opened Aroma Aug. 21, aiming to blend Mediterranean and Syrian cuisine with American brunch classics.


Aroma serves a mix of casual brunch favorites, such as omelets, waffles and pancakes, alongside traditional Mediterranean and Syrian dishes, including shakshuka and fatteh.

Bondi Bowls recently opened in Plano’s Legacy Hall, a Legacy Hall representative said.


The menu features açai bowls, smoothies, lemonade, shaved ice, locally sourced coffee and more, the company website states.


Bondi Bowls was founded by Bailey Wilson following a family member’s health scare. She named the company after Bondi Beach, where she lived and where açaí bowls had become a staple of her daily diet, according to the company website.
