Prosper names Madison Clark new EDC executive director

Madison Clark will be the executive director of the Prosper Economic Development Corporation, according to a June 17 news release.

In a nutshell: She joins the PEDC from the McKinney Economic Development Corporation, where she most recently served as the director of business retention and workforce development, per the release.

Quote of note: “Economic development is ultimately about creating opportunities,” she said in the release. “When you focus on people, positive things tend to follow.”

Bojangles sets opening date for Celina location

Bojangles will open in Celina on June 23, General Manager Jake Batt confirmed.

Check it out: Bojangles’s Celina location will hold its grand opening at 5 a.m., and the first 100 dine-in customers will receive a $100 Bojangles gift card, Batt said.

Hall Park breaks ground on office building, park expansion

Hall Park broke ground on two new projects in the mixed-use development in Frisco on June 10.

The details: The projects include The Terraces Hall Park, which is a Class A office tower, and a $14 million expansion of Kaleidoscope Park. Hall Park is developed by the Hall Group and the park is owned by the city and operated by the Kaleidoscope Park Foundation.

Officials broke ground on both projects at a June 10 celebration.

What you need to know: Both projects represent the first developments within the next phase of Hall Parks’s multibillion-dollar development. Both the park and office tower are expected to be completed in 2028, according to a Hall Park news release.

Quote of note: "These are legacy type projects. It's how you make them sustainable,” Mayor Jeff Cheney said. “This is the future of mixed-use office development where you have to create places like this to attract companies for people to want to work here.”
