Nearly 160 homes sold, other local Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake real estate data

In March, there were over 155 homes sold across Grapevine, Colleyville and Southlake according to data from the MetroTex Association of Realtors. The total number of homes sold was 159 in March 2026, an 18.66% increase from the 134 sold in March 2025.

More details: A total of 269 homes were newly listed for sale across the market in March 2026 compared to 314 listed last year, a 14.33% decrease.

Booth Creek Wagyu offers vertically-integrated beef in Southlake

Booth Creek Wagyu now sells steaks, brisket and other meats in Southlake. 

What they offer: The company is vertically integrated, meaning Booth Creek owns the entire meat creation process, starting from the ranch, to its feeding program, processing plant and retail shops, according to its website. Booth Creek knows where its beef comes from, said Kansas City Market Manager Mike French.

The Southlake store sells ground beef, roasts, ribs, hotdogs and jerky, per its website.  

One more thing: Booth Creek originally opened in Kansas and this marks its first store in Texas, French said.

Alaska Airlines adding daily routes from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport to San Diego

Alaska Airlines will start twice-daily flights between San Diego International Airport and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport on April 22.

The Seattle-based airline had previously announced that the DFW Airport-to-San Diego route was one of five new nonstop routes. Alaska Airlines, as well as its subsidiary Hawaiian Airlines, will now fly to 49 nonstop destinations from Southern California.

Alaska Airlines is offering 35% more flights from San Diego this spring than the previous year, according to a news release.

The details: According to its website, flights will depart from Dallas to San Diego at 3:13 p.m. and 7:15 p.m., with each flight taking 3 hours and 14 minutes to arrive in California. A Boeing 737 will be used for the trip, according to a news release.

Alaska Airlines is in Terminal E, Gate 11, at DFW Airport.

Walmart to remodel 5 stores across Dallas-Fort Worth

Walmart plans to remodel 72 stores across Texas, including several in Dallas-Fort Worth, according to a news release from the company. 

What’s happening? The stores that will see updates this year include: 

  • Allen Walmart Neighborhood Market, 1520 E. Exchange Parkway, Allen
  • Denton Walmart Supercenter, 2750 W. University Drive, Denton
  • McKinney Walmart Neighborhood Market, 3400 Virginia Parkway, McKinney
  • Plano Walmart Supercenter, 8801 Ohio Drive, Plano
  • Fort Worth Walmart Supercenter, 3851 Airport Freeway, Fort Worth

Customers will notice wider aisles and updated layouts, new interiors and exteriors with modern signage, improved parking and landscaping, and expanded pickup and delivery services, including free pharmacy delivery for Walmart+ members, per the release.

Richardson West Middle School, new emergency room: Check out 5 of the latest permits filed in DFW

A new Richardson ISD middle school and a body shop in McKinney are two of several construction permits filed around Dallas-Fort Worth. Check out five of the latest permits filed in the Metroplex.

Richardson West Middle School: A filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that construction on Richardson ISD’s Richardson West Middle School is scheduled to start this summer, as part of RISD’s middle school transition. The project will build a three-story middle school and baseball field on the site of Richardson High School’s baseball stadium, according to previous Community Impact reporting. Construction will be complete in fall 2028, according to an update from RISD.
