The May 2 election included the Bee Cave mayoral race, three Eanes ISD seats, two Lake Travis ISD seats, one West Lake Hills City Council seat and three Village of Briarcliff alderman seats. Here are the unofficial voting results from Travis County.

The details: Results show EISD board of trustees newcomers Kate Ivers and Jennifer Blackman secured seats alongside incumbent Diane Hern.

In LTISD, newcomers Tiffany Bennett and Natalie Nugent pulled ahead in the polls.

In city government, incumbent Kara King secured the Bee Cave mayoral race, while newcomer Margaret Moore secured the most votes for the West Lake Hills City Council race.

Additionally, unofficial results show all three incumbents in the Village of Briarcliff’s alderman election won out for their three respective seats.

Something to note: All results are unofficial until canvassed.

TxDOT breaks ground on Loop 360 project near RM 2222

Texas Department of Transportation officials broke ground on the Loop 360 at Courtyard Drive/RM 2222 project April 29.

About the project: According to TxDOT officials, the project is part of TxDOT's slate of projects along 14 miles of Loop 360 in West Austin, and part of the Texas Clear Lanes congestion relief initiative. Per officials, this segment will include:

  • Removing the traffic signal from the Loop 360 mainlanes at Courtyard Drive, and construct an overpass
  • Reconfiguring RM 2222 at Loop 360 to a Diverging Diamond Interchange, or DDI
  • Adding shared-use paths and sidewalks

Funding for the $68.4 million project will come from TxDOT and the city of Austin's 2016 mobility bond. 

Looking ahead: Construction will take place on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., and on Saturdays between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Construction is expected to be complete by 2029.

Also of noteThe other Loop 360 project underway is the Westlake Drive/Cedar Street segment, which is expected to be complete in 2026.

The bank offers personal and business banking services with online and mobile options.

The details: Central National Bank hosted a ribbon cutting with the Westlake Chamber of Commerce on April 28.
