Market analysis to look at operations at The Vineyard Campground & Cabins in Grapevine

A market analysis and feasibility study will focus on The Vineyards Campground and Cabins in Grapevine.

The Grapevine City Council awarded a $68,000 contract to Campground Consulting Group during the March 3 meeting.

What’s happening? The move will give city staff a look at current and potential services, facilities, amenities and land usage to best accommodate the evolving clientele needs, changing demographics and industry trends, according to city documents.

Kathy Nelson, grapevine parks and recreation planning manager, said the city took ownership of what was Silver Lake Park in 2004, and a facility plan and business model were developed.

“Over the past five years, the camping and outdoor hospitality industry has seen significant growth in demand,” Nelson said.

Zooming in: The study will provide city staff with possible options, and the findings and proposed facility plan would be brought before council for further direction at a future date, Nelson said. The report should be back in four months, she said.
