Total closure of Ford Road in Porter planned for April 22

A total closure of Ford Road is planned for April 22, officials with Montgomery County Precinct 4 Commissioner Matt Gray's Office announced via Facebook on April 21.

What's happening? Ford Road will be closed between Loop 494 and Clennie Needham Road from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. April 22. Traffic will instead be detoured onto Needham and East Martin roads.

Throughout the duration of the closure, Precinct 4 officials noted that businesses will still be able to access their driveways.

Some context: Precinct 4 officials said the road will be closed for paving as part of the Ford Road Segment 1 project. As previously reported by Community Impact, the project will reconstruct the two-lane asphalt pavement between Hwy. 59 and Loop 494, and widen the existing two-lane asphalt to four lanes with a continuous turn lane between Loop 494 and Needham Road. The project also includes modifications to Loop 494 for improved conditions.

Construction on the project began in October and is expected to wrap up by the fourth quarter of this year.

Fans can choose tickets from across categories 1 to 3 and the front-row seat categories, depending on the match. Along with this ticket set, additional tickets will continue to be released to the public on an ongoing basis up until the final match July 19 in New Jersey.
