David Yurman, Perspire Sauna Studio: 6 new businesses open in The Woodlands in late 2025

Several new businesses have opened in The Woodlands area in the fourth quarter of 2025, including four at Market Street. Here's a look at some new businesses in town. This list is not comprehensive.

David Yurman opened on Nov. 23 at Market Street in The Woodlands, a spokesperson confirmed in an email. David Yurman is a fine jewelry brand that offers pieces such as bracelets as well as other items for men and women, according to its website.

Perspire Sauna Studio

Perspire Sauna Studio has opened its first Houston-area location. Perspire Sauna Studio features nine private infrared sauna suites, six SNØ Showers and hospitality and wellness services. The location is owned and operated by The Woodlands residents Paul Keene and Paty Pavón-Keene.

Uncle Sharkii Poke Bar opening in late December in The Woodlands

Uncle Sharkii Poke Bar, which offers Hawaiian poke bowls as well as boba milk tea, is planning to open a location in The Woodlands in December, a customer service representative said.

What's on the menu: According to information from the company, it offers poke bowls featuring choices such as tuna, salmon, shrimp and chicken as well as tofu. Rice bowls, boba milk tea and soft serve ice cream are also served at Uncle Sharkii's locations.

The poke bar will be located inside Walmart, according to information from the company.

Toll rates to increase Jan. 1 along portions of Hwy. 249 in Montgomery County

On Jan. 1, drivers will see an increase in toll rates, according to a Nov. 18 news release from the Harris County Toll Road Authority.

In a nutshell: The toll rate increases are along the Montgomery County Toll Road Authority’s portion of Hwy. 249. Through an interlocal agreement, HCTRA provides toll tag account management and customer service to MCTRA.

According to the news release and HCTRA’s system map, the toll increases for drivers with EZ tags are as follows:

Northbound and southbound Decker Plaza mainlane pass-through

  • Two axles: from $1.54 to $1.57
  • Three axles: from $3.07 to $3.14
  • Four axles: from $4.61 to $4.71
  • Five axles: from $6.14 to $6.28
  • Six axles: from $7.68 to $7.85

Northbound and southbound Hardin Store Road entrance and exit ramps
  • Two axles: from $0.61 to $0.62
  • Three axles: from $1.21 to $1.24
  • Four axles: from $1.82 to $1.87
  • Five axles: from $2.42 to $2.49
  • Six axles: from $3.03 to $3.11

Tomball ISD approves new land purchases

At its regular meeting Dec. 10, Tomball ISD approved the purchase of two parcels of land near Shaw Road.

In a nutshell: The two plots of land are 5.2503 acres and 2.2379 acres, per district documents. The land will be purchased using funds from the 2025 bond. Superintendent Martha Salazar-Zamora said the land will be used for future district purposes. This move comes after the TISD board approved purchasing 110 acres using 2025 bond funds for future district purposes in September, as previously reported.
