Flower Mound officials add naloxone to 12 public spaces

Opioid antagonist naloxone, also known by its brand name Narcan, is now available in 12 public spaces in Flower Mound, following a recommendation from the town's Substance Abuse and Mental Health Task Force. Town officials added naloxone to the public spaces Sept. 10.

What you need to know: Town officials added naloxone doses to 12 automatic external defibrillators, or AED, units in public, air-conditioned spaces, Flower Mound Communications Director Melissa Demmitt said. The spaces that received naloxone doses are:

  • Central Fire Station
  • Town Hall
  • Flower Mound Public Library
  • Senior Center
  • Flower Mound Police Department lobby, physical training room and jail
  • Flower Mound municipal court
  • Public Works building
  • Fleet Services building
  • Animal Services
  • Community Activity Center

The Real Estate Station moves after more than 30 years in downtown Argyle

The Real Estate Station moved locations in Argyle to be more centrally located in the new and fast-growing areas of the community, said Meg Sommer, marketing manager at The Real Estate Station. 

The details: The Real Estate Station was originally located in "the little yellow and green house" off US 377, in downtown Argyle, Sommer said. This location will be the new home for Argyle Party and Gifts, she added.  The Real Estate Station held its grand opening at its new location Sept. 17, Sommer said.

Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch permanently closes

A pumpkin patch operated in Flower Mound has permanently closed, according to a post on social media.

The details: The patch offered hayrides, children’s activities and sold pumpkins of various sizes at a farm in town. The business announced the closure in mid-September.

Tarrant County College sees 4% enrollment increase from 2024

Tarrant County College has seen a 4.31% year-over-year increase in enrollment from the 2024 fall semester.

The overview: Tarrant County College has 49,393 students enrolled for the fall 2025 semester, according to a news release from the college. Student enrollment is counted from the 12th class day of the semester, Sept. 10, for 2025.
