Boerne City Council to hold Oct. 27 special meeting discussing Scooter's Coffee, Buc-ee's

Boerne City Council will hold a special meeting Oct. 27, covering multiple resolutions, a public hearing for Scooter’s Coffee and an executive session focused on the Buc-ee’s development agreement.

The details: A public hearing will be held for a special use permit for Scooter’s Coffee. This permit was recommended for approval by the Planning and Zoning Commission.

The proposed development is located in the Scenic Interstate Corridor Overlay District, which establishes design and development standards for the area. The permit would allow for an accessory drive-thru for the 668-square-foot Scooter’s Coffee.

What else? The final agenda item is an executive session for the deliberation of economic development negotiations related to the Buc-ee’s development. Executive session discussions are not open to the public.

Following the session, City Council will reconvene in open session. A resolution amending the economic development agreement is listed on the agenda for consideration. However, City Council can postpone this resolution or take no action on the matter, depending on executive session discussions.
