Colleyville council approves Garages of America, restaurant development

A new luxury car storage facility is coming to Colleyville.

Council approved the second reading for a rezoning request to allow for vehicle storage, retail, office and warehouse uses on two properties by a 6-0 vote during the June 16 meeting. Council member Tim Raine was absent from the meeting.

What’s happening: The commercial development will include four buildings, according to the site plan filed with the city. The first building, which is 21,000 square feet, and the second, which is 31,830 square feet,  will include retail and restaurant, flex-warehouse, office and flex spaces, per city documents.

The third and fourth buildings, both of which are 24,000 square feet, will house the Garages of America storage condominiums. Each condo space will be purchased individually, said Ben Bryner, Colleyville’s director of community development.

One more thing: Garages of America operates several other facilities across North Texas, including in Plano, Frisco and Allen.
