Plano updates school zones on Coit, Legacy

Plano drivers will experience a change in school zones near Jasper High School, Robinson Middle School and Gulledge Elementary School.

What you need to know: The school zone on Legacy just north of the campuses will no longer be in effect during elementary times, while the zone on Coit Road near its intersection with Denham Way will now serve Gulledge students, according to city documents.

The updated school zones will now run at the following times:

  • Coit Road, 7-8:45 a.m. and 2:30-4:15 p.m.
  • Legacy Drive, 7:35-9:15 a.m. and 3:30-4:55 p.m.

New McDonald’s under construction in Plano

According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations, the 3,694 square-foot restaurant has an estimated construction cost of $1.5 million and is slated for completion in December.

What else? Onsite signage states that this McDonald’s is owned by the O’Reilly Group who own 24 McDonald’s locations in Texas, the company website states.
