A number of road projects are underway in The Woodlands area, some of which are funded by the Montgomery County road bond as well as ongoing projects from the Texas Department of Transportation.
Ongoing projects
Rayford Road and Discovery Creek Boulevard traffic signal
Project: A traffic signal will be placed at the intersection, and the project will add left-turn lanes in both directions on Rayford Road.
Update: Turn lane construction and traffic signal installation are completed, and pedestrian ramps and striping are also completed, Montgomery County Precinct 3 officials said Aug. 7.
Grogans Mill Road at North Millbend Drive intersection upgrade
Project: The project will redesign the traffic signal and intersection layout, upgrade traffic signal facilities, replace pavement in the intersection and restripe the intersection.
Update: The intersection construction is complete, and pedestrian poles were being installed as of Aug. 7, county officials said. The permanent signal equipment was slated for delivery in mid-September to replace temporary poles.
