Montgomery City Council approves contracts for infrastructure improvement projects
During its Aug. 26 meeting, Montgomery City Council approved and awarded contracts for water and wastewater infrastructure improvements, including work on a waterline extension, a booster pump addition and lift station upgrades.

West Lone Star Parkway 12-inch waterline extension: Council accepted the city engineer’s recommendation to award the construction contract to Bull-G Construction LLC. The project will extend a 12-inch waterline along West Lone Star Parkway, cost $333,771 and has a completion date range of 45-75 calendar days, per the agenda item.
Water Plant No. 3 booster pump addition: Officials approved awarding the booster pump addition project at Water Plant No. 3 to McDonald Municipal & Industrial. The booster pump will add a 900-gallon-per-minute booster pump to the existing plant and will be funded through American Rescue Plan Act funds. Per the agenda item, the project will cost $178,469 with 154 calendar days to achieve substantial completion.
Lift Station No. 10 Phase II improvements: Council also awarded a contract for Phase II of the Lift Station 10 improvements project.
Amazing Window Cleaners launches division for Christmas lights installation in Montgomery County
Amazing Window Cleaners launched a new division called Amazing Christmas Lights, which will specialize in full-service Christmas and holiday lighting installations in and around Montgomery County, according to an Aug. 25 news release.
More details: Booking for the holiday season will begin Oct. 1. Amazing Christmas Lights will offer free estimates, design consultations, maintenance and takedown after the holidays, according to the news release.
