Here are three major transportation projects that will impact the way people get around Cedar Park.

1. Lakeline Boulevard shared-use path: A 10-foot-wide paved shared-use path is planned along Lakeline Boulevard between New Hope Drive and Little Elm Trail to improve pedestrian and bicycle connectivity.

2. Toro Grande Boulevard roadway improvements: Work is underway to improve and extend Toro Grande Boulevard. The north side will receive intersection improvements, turn lanes and pedestrian infrastructure, while the south will enhance connectivity between Whitestone Boulevard, New Hope Drive and Parmer Lane.

3. 183A Toll frontage roads: The state-led project will add two 3-mile lanes on either side of 183A Toll from East Whitestone Boulevard to Avery Ranch Boulevard as well as a shared-use path connecting the existing US 183 trailhead.

Two candidates will be on the ballot for Precinct 4 Williamson County commissioner, including Republican incumbent Russ Boles facing off against Democratic candidate Harmon Rhea.

A closer look: Precinct 4 is the largest geographically of the Williamson County precincts, and includes most of Hutto, Taylor, Jarrell and Weir, as well as the eastern parts of Georgetown and Round Rock.

Early voting for the Nov. 3 election runs from Oct. 19-30.

Two candidates will face off for Texas House District 19 Nov. 3.

What to know: Incumbent Ellen Troxclair, R-Lakeway, is running for her third term against Democratic opponent Tom Luck. Texas House District 19 covers all of Blanco, Burnet, Gillespie and Kendall counties. The district also includes parts of Travis County, including Cedar Park, Leander and Bee Cave, along with other cities in Travis County.

The details: The last day to register to vote for the November 2026 elections is Oct. 5. Early voting will begin later that month on Oct. 19.
