Frisco City Council unanimously approved new rules regarding how land can be used downtown with the goal of making the area more walkable at a meeting Oct. 21.

The change comes as city officials work to redevelop downtown with several projects, including a pedestrian plaza.

The details: The rules prohibit new businesses such as convenience stores with gas pumps and laundromats from opening in downtown.

Rollertown Beerworks opened its doors to customers in Frisco in October.

What they offer: The business offers a range of beers, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages.

A new Chili’s Bar and Grill location is set to open Nov. 3 in Prosper, according to a company representative.

Zooming in: The chain offers fast-casual dining options, including wings, burgers, barbecue and sandwiches. The new location will be at the intersection of S. Teel Parkway and U.S. 380.
