Cedar Park City Council will consider an agenda item at its July 23 meeting that would pave the way for a potential residential development on an 18-acre plot of land in the northeast corner of the city.

A closer look: The landowner, Three Creeks Development, is asking City Council to approve an amendment petition to the city’s Future Land Use Plan, which guides long-term planning and development in the city. If approved, the property would change from its intended use as local office, retail or commercial to low-density residential, city documents state.

The developer aims to build a planned development of 68 homes on the site, which is located mostly within the city limits and extends partly into the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction northwest of the intersection of New Hope Drive and Ronald Reagan Boulevard.

Happy Health & Wellness began providing care at its Cedar Park location July 13.

What they offer: The clinic, which moved from its Lago Vista location to Cedar Park, offers a variety of medical services. Beyond primary care and physicals, the clinic provides services such as IV therapy, allergy testing, hormone optimization, medical weight loss and peptide therapy.

“Happy Health & Wellness is a functional medicine and primary care clinic dedicated to helping patients achieve lasting health through personalized, whole-person care,” Jessica Brunnemann, a marketing coordinator for the business, said in a statement to Community Impact. “By combining traditional primary care with advanced diagnostics, preventative testing and innovative wellness therapies, our team focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of health concerns—not just treating symptoms.”

The clinic accepts most major insurance plans, Brunnemann said. Happy Health & Wellness has several locations in the Austin area, including Westlake and Bastrop.

Nonprofits Hope House Academy, Operation Liberty Hill, Central Texas Table of Grace and Hill Country Community Ministries each received $200,000 after Williamson County commissioners approved funding at a July 14 meeting. 

The gist: Williamson County Communications Director Connie Odom said the financing for the four nonprofits is drawn from the county’s Williamson County Community Facility Fund, which accumulates 1% of the tipping fees collected at the Williamson County landfill. The requests for funding are then voted on and approved by commissioners.

Burnet Road Mobility Program
Project: The project will feature updated traffic signals, improved crossings, bus stop improvements, trail connections, drainage improvements, shared-use paths and more on Burnet Road from White Horse Trail to US 183 (C2), Bright Verde Way to MoPac (C3) and US 183 to Bright Verde Way (C4).
Update: According to Austin Transportation and Public Works officials, all three segments are officially under construction as of early June.
