Argyle officials set aside over $4.15M for development projects in fiscal year 2025-26 budget
Town Manager Mike Sims presented Argyle’s fiscal year 2025-26 budget proposal at the Aug. 18 council meeting, which had funds dedicated to development projects, drainage and street maintenance.
Breaking down the budget: The net total expenditures proposed for FY 2025-26 is $20.1 million, Sims said.
The proposed FY 2025-26 budget puts funds in accounts dedicated to future town projects, including:
$4.15 million will be put toward the town center project, which includes a municipal building and police department
$400,000 will be put toward construction of the Argyle Nature Trail
$190,000 will be put toward restoring Town Hall
Sims also identified four to six streets around the town that need repairing and set aside funds in the budget to tackle those projects, which included $1.5 million for asphalt streets and $250,000 for concrete pot repairs.

Medical City Healthcare expands mental health care with new clinic in Argyle
Medical City Healthcare’s outpatient mental health therapy clinic is now open in Argyle, according to a press release.
The specifics: The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. offering mental health assessments and group therapy sessions led by licensed therapists, the press release states. The clinic’s therapists support individuals with:
Depression and anxiety
Work/life stress and transitions
Grief and loss
Mood disorders
Suicidal thoughts
Traumatic events
Obsessive-compulsive disorder
This clinic is the sixth mental health clinic within the Medical City Healthcare system.
Royal Jordanian Airlines to bring flights to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in 2026
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport will add a new destination in 2026: Jordan.
The details: Royal Jordanian Airlines announced it will launch nonstop service to Queen Aila International Airport in Amman, Jordan, in May 2026, according to a Sept. 3 news release. Royal Jordanian will offer weekly flights four times a week aboard a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner with 270 seats, according to the news release.
