96 homes sold, other local real estate data in Flower Mound, Highland Village, Argyle

In January 2026, there were 96 homes sold across the market, according to data from the MetroTex Association of Realtors. The 96 homes sold was a nearly 29.93% year-over-year decrease from the 137 homes sold in 2025.

More details: In January 2026, there were 227 new listings, compared to 241 new listings in January 2025.. The number of new listings decreased by almost 5.81% year-over-year.

Flower Mound NTB to rebrand to Mavis Tires and Brakes

The Flower Mound location for NTB-National Tire & Battery is set to be rebranded into a Mavis Tires and Brakes.

The overview: Flower Mound Town Council unanimously approved a design exception request to allow parts of the building to be painted a shade of green, consistent with the branding of Mavis Tires and Brakes, during the Feb. 16 meeting. The building will include a green stripe around a portion of the building and hunter green shaded metal sign, according to town documents.

Some context: Mavis Tires and Brakes acquired NTB in 2023 and has been transitioning stores to the new branding, a representative said during the meeting. No timeline was shared for how long it will take to update the facade.

The business provides several automotive services, such as oil changes, wheel alignments and tire repairs.

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport's Founders' Plaza reopens

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport’s Founders’ Plaza has reopened after being closed for more than three months.

According to previous reporting, the area was closed for soil remediation around the observation area in Grapevine.

Zooming in: The area at the intersection of Texan Trail and North Airfield Drive is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. It is used by photographers and visitors to the airport to take photos or videos of planes, according to the airport website.

Visitors can watch planes take off and land and listen to air traffic control communications from the Federal Aviation Administration tower.

The background: DFW’s Founders’ Plaza was dedicated in 1995 as a tribute to the founders of DFW Airport, which opened in 1974, according to the airport website.

Argyle ISD to host info-session for new hybrid, virtual class options

Argyle ISD officials will host an informational webinar for the new Student Option for Academic Readiness, or SOAR, program Feb. 24.

The webinar will start at 5:30 p.m., and community members with current eighth-11th grade students can join the webinar on the district website.

What you need to know: The SOAR program is a fully online learning option for Argyle ISD high school students, according to the district.

Currently, the program has the following requirements for students interested in participating:

  • Must be entering ninth-12th grade
  • Must reside within Argyle ISD attendance boundaries
  • Must meet Texas Education Agency requirements, including enrollment in a public school for at least six weeks during the current or previous school year

DFW real estate leaders discuss mixed-use developments, market trends at Community Impact’s InCIder Hour event

The overview: Dallas-Fort Worth residents can expect to see mixed-use developments continue to drive residential and commercial growth across the region, local real estate leaders say.

Community Impact Founder and CEO John Garrett sat down with local real estate experts for a panel discussion Feb. 17 for the company’s first InCIder Hour event in Dallas-Fort Worth.

The panel included Michael Ortiz from Pogue Construction, Laura Blackstock from The Cheney Group and Jay Nelson from Rimosa Real Estate Services.
