Grapevine-Colleyville ISD, Carroll ISD students outperform statewide STAAR scores

Results from the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness, or STAAR, end-of-course exams show Grapevine-Colleyville ISD and Carroll ISD students performed better than students across the state in 2026.

The Texas Education Agency released results for end-of-course assessments, which show the exam results for high school students broken down by subject, on June 10.

The details: For the end-of-course exams, students are tested on subjects such as:

  • Algebra I
  • Biology
  • English I
  • English II
  • U.S. History

When calculating scores, anything above a did not meet grade level is considered a passing score. In GCISD, English I and English II tied for the lowest percentage of passing scores with 89% each. In CISD, the lowest percentage of passing scores was 94% in Algebra I.

One more thing: Parents can view their child’s individual STAAR score at texasassessment.gov by using a unique code distributed by their child’s school.
