Unofficial early voting results in the election for The Woodlands Township board of directors, Position 6, show Adam Lamb has taken an early lead among Montgomery County absentee and early voters, with 2,812 votes cast, or 48.11% of the votes cast. Among the other candidates, Maria Holmes received 1,941 votes, or 33.21% of votes cast, Allan Bounds received 742 votes, or 12.69%, and Philip Ikharebhore received 350 votes, or 5.99% of votes cast.
The background: Position 6 is the only contested race in the Nov. 4 election.
Positions 5 and 7, which also have terms ending this year, are currently occupied by incumbents Shelley Sekula-Gibbs and Cindy Heiser, respectively, who are seeking reelection. Ann Snyder d9d not seek reelection to Position 6.
