Check out 15 housing development projects in the Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake area

There are more than a dozen housing developments in various stages of development, from groundwork to houses for sale, in northeast Tarrant County.

The options include one-acre lots, townhomes, and mansions listed for more than $8 million. Here’s a look at options in Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake, Trophy Club and Westlake. This list is not comprehensive.

Holt Farms
Project
: Holt Farms will have 10 homes on 11.8 acres southeast of the intersection of Bandit Trail and John McCain Road. The neighborhood will feature upscale, custom-built houses developed by Calais Custom Homes, starting at $2.5 million.
Update: Home construction is anticipated to finish in the fall of 2026.

Grapevine
Grapevine Springs: Project
: The 21-lot development was approved by the Grapevine City Council in July 2024. The development would include 21 two-story homes.
Update: As of April 21, 19 of the 21 lots are available.

Slick City Action Park now open in Colleyville

Slick City Action Park is now open in Colleyville. 

What they offer: The nearly 40,000-square-foot facility features three stories of slides and 15 attractions, including an air track basketball and dodgeball courts, which are courts that have a padded flooring that also lets players bounce, a jungle gym and web crawler for children 6 and younger, and an arcade, said Brett Huckins, the local franchise owner of the park. 

What's on the menu: A cafe area will serve pizza, chicken strips, mozzarella sticks, pretzels, ICEEs, Dippin’ Dots, nachos, hot dogs and more, Huckins said. Beer, wine, liquor and margaritas will also be offered, he said.

Feedstore BBQ celebrates 25th anniversary in Southlake

The Lafavers family has been in Southlake for nearly 50 years and has been operating Feedstore BBQ since April 25, 2001.

The Southlake Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the anniversary on April 9.

During the event, current operator Mike Lafaevers and his son, West Texas Lafavers, announced that the eatery will soon be adding breakfast items to the menu. West Texas Lafavers said they have recently added it as a catering option, but this will open it up to all guests.

On the menu: The dining options include sandwiches, meat plats, catfish, salads, baked potatoes, pork ribs, burgers, desserts and southern-style side items. The offering of meats includes chopped and sliced brisket, smoked chicken, pulled pork, turkey, ham, sausage, hot links and jalapeño links.

The background: The restaurant is one of the oldest operating buildings in the city, according to its website.
The building was first the Bailey Feed Store in the 1950s, started by Earl Bailey.
