Construction on Resia North City apartments underway in Fort Worth

Resia North City apartments are currently being constructed near US Highway 287 and North Tarrant Parkway in Fort Worth by the North City shopping and dining development.
Plans for the $45 million complex were announced more than three years ago, according to previous reporting. At the time, construction was slated to start in March 2023.

Zooming in: 
A filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows the project was registered on July 27, 2022, with construction scheduled to begin that fall.

What else? 
The complex's website states Resia North City will be two mid-rise buildings with 464 units that have modern finishes and a range of quality amenities. There will be a 24-hour fitness center, a swimming pool and a multipurpose room for apartment residents.

Oak Street Cafe now serves brunch meals in Roanoke

Oak Street Cafe opened in early December and now offers made-from-scratch breakfast and lunch items, co-owner Jimmy Pollozani said.

The details: 
Located in the former Chop Shop Live in Roanoke, Oak Street Cafe’s menu features omelets, pancakes, sandwiches, salads and desserts, Pollozani said.

“We want people to feel like they’re enjoying homemade meals served with genuine hospitality,” he said.

The brunch spot is adjacent to Roanoke Tavern, a dinner spot, and Roanoke Live, an evening concert venue.

Northwest ISD officials announce name of district's fourth high school

Northwest ISD’s new high school will be named after J. Fred Davis Jr., a former board member for the district.

NISD’s board of trustees voted unanimously to name the high school after Davis at a regular meeting Dec. 8.

The details: The district’s fourth high school, to be located near I-35 and SH 170 in Fort Worth, will start receiving students from Tidwell and Worthington middle schools for the 2027-28 school year, according to the district. The new school will also mitigate student populations at Eaton and Byron Nelson high schools.

The background: The facility is under construction with funds from a May 2023 bond approved by voters.
