Carl Little named CEO of Houston Methodist West Hospital

Houston Methodist West Hospital will welcome Carl Little, who currently serves as CEO and senior vice president of Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital, as its next Katy-area CEO.

Little will replace outgoing CEO Wayne Voss, who is retiring after nearly two decades of service, according to a Jan. 29 news release.

The details: Little has spent over a decade rising through the ranks of Houston Methodist, previously serving as an administrator in the Houston Methodist Physician Organization, a hospital director of business development, as well as a vice president and chief operating officer at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, per the release.

What’s next: Little will begin his new role in April as the hospital system conducts a search to fill his previous role of CEO at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital, per the release.

Memorial Hermann Medical Group to open new primary group practice in Elyson

According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Memorial Hermann Medical Group has plans to open a new primary care facility in the Elyson community.

The details: Per the filing, the new facility will cost $1.3 million and is expected to start construction in May and be completed by August. Memorial Hermann Medical Group is an umbrella group formed by Memorial Hermann to provide primary and specialist care to residents including cardiologists, gastroenterologists, OB/GYN services and sports medicine.
