GTU Hangars, a private condo hangar development at Georgetown Executive Airport, is constructing 12 hangars for single-engine to light jet aircrafts, according to a company news release.
Learn more: The project consists of nine 50-by-50-foot box hangars suitable for single-engine and light twin aircrafts, and three 75-by-60-foot hangars for twin-engine planes and light jets. The hangar units can be customized for lighting, utilities, insulation, door access and internet.
The hangars will be available in early 2027, and GTU Hangars is currently accepting reservations. The gated development will also include restrooms and a common area for owners and guests.
Why it matters: Georgetown Executive Airport is a national reliever airport, which relieves congestion at larger commercial airports, as designated by the Federal Aviation Administration in 2023.
As Georgetown and Williamson County continue to grow, the airport has seen a demand for aircraft storage, the release states.
