Gallery: Market Behind the Square celebrates ribbon-cutting ceremony

The Denton Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Market Behind the Square in downtown Denton.

The gist: The market offers butchered meats, including pork, lamb and wagyu beef, the company website states. The business also offers house-made sausage, sauces, jerky and produce.

The business originally opened in October 2025, according to previous Community Impact reporting.

Owners Lezli and Joe Collins worked in butchery and meat sales for more than 45 years, Joe Collins said at the event.

“People come in and ask us how business is going and are genuinely interested,” Lezli Collins said. “We’ve been held by this community.”
