Hans' Crawfish officials confirmed the eatery is returning to the The Barn at Frio Hill Country Grill on Feb. 6.

Incase you missed it: Per previous Community Impact reporting, Hans' Crawfish is owned by Hans and Ashley Stevens and operated in Cypress for five years before relocating to 15920 FM 2920, Tomball which closed in 2024. The eatery reopened at The Barn at Frio Hill in 2025 and is returning for crawfish season.  In addition officials said Hans' Crawfish is looking for a permanent location to open by the following crawfish season, however the time frame of the new location is undetermined.

The details: Per the business Facebook, Hans' Crawfish will be open from Thursday-Sunday and crawfish price updates will be posted on its socials.

AutoZone, a nationwide auto parts retailer, filed plans with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation to open a new location in the Cypress area.

The details: According to the TDLR filing, of which details are subject to change, AutoZone officials filed for a new store on Jan. 30. Per the filing, the store will be 7,382 square-foot and offer a variety of automotive parts and services such as batteries, oil and diagnostics.

The new building is estimated to start construction Aug. 20, according to TDLR.

Active adult communities developer Del Webb announced Feb. 5 it will open a luxury 55+ community in Bridgeland, the first of its kind in the Cypress-area master planned community.

Read all about it: The 190-acre gated community will include 672 homes in close proximity to parks, trails and Bridgeland's growing retail district, per the news release. Residents of Del Webb Bridgeland will also have access to a resort-style amenity center featuring:

• Indoor and outdoor pools
• Fitness center and movement studio

• Pickleball plaza and bocce courts
• Outdoor terraces with fireplaces
• Activity lawn and walking trails

• Intersection of Rio Medina Trail and Jack Road, Cypress

The Houston Fire Department’s newest station—Station 92—is now serving the George Bush Intercontinental Airport after a grand opening celebration was held for the facility Feb. 6.

At a glance: The new 21,000-square-foot fire station is one of three fire stations at IAH. The facility will be staffed 24/7, 365 days per year.

Station 92 has features such as:

• Six fire-response apparatuses
• Administrative offices
• Access to the airport’s airfield
• Dorms for firefighters to rest
