A data center could be coming to Prosper.
In a nutshell: The project, called Project Tomahawk, aims to build a data center on 39.3 acres near the southeast intersection of FM 1385 and Parvin Road, according to town documents.
The local impact: The center will be designed to mitigate power demands, water use and noise generated by the center, according to the developer.
Stay tuned: Prosper’s Planning and Zoning Commission is set to consider the project on Aug. 18, town staff said at an Aug. 4 meeting.
Quote of note: “It’s gone through the staff, multiple reviews, and now it will go to the planning commission on the 18th,” said David Hoover, Prosper's director of Development Services. “That’s where the opportunity will be ... for the public to hear all of the facts in the proposal, as well as being able to offer comments.”
