Texas Health Denton earns reaccreditation as a primary stroke center

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton was recently reaccredited with a Primary Stroke Center certification, which is issued by Joint Commission in association with The American Heart Association.

The breakdown: Texas Health Denton has maintained the national certification since 2011, according to a news release. The certification is issued every two years and is designed to help hospitals improve stroke care services by providing a framework for patients to receive the highest standard of care based on the latest evidence and best practices.

The Primary Stroke Center certification specifically signifies that an accredited hospital that the quality of care meets the specialized needs of stroke patients, Joint Commission's website states.

Zooming out: Strokes are the fourth-leading cause of death in both Texas and the United States, according to the release. The certification to become a Primary Stroke Center includes the full range of stroke care, which is diagnosis, education, rehabilitation and treatment, according to the release.

Black Fox Brewing Company announces downtown Denton closure

Black Fox Brewing Company of Texas off North Cedar Street in Denton shuttered its doors effective immediately, according to a social media post from the brewery.

Diving in deeper: “While this chapter is coming to an end, we want to share that this is not 'goodbye,' rather simply, ‘see you later.’ Keep following us on social media and stay tuned, you never know what’s next!” the post states.

The Denton-based brewery opened in October 2023 and served small-batch beer, according to its website.

The brewery, which is veteran-owned, according to its website, also served wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages.

Pandora now sells jewelry, gifts at Tanger Outlets Fort Worth

Pandora is now open at the Tanger Outlets Fort Worth shopping center.

Zooming in: A spokesperson with Tanger Outlets confirmed the jewelry store opened at the end of March. Pandora is known for its personalized charms to attach to bracelets and necklaces. Pandora also sells rings, earrings, lab-grown diamonds and a variety of bracelets and necklaces.

Through April 4, the store is offering a deal where if guests spend $145 or more, they get $25 off, according to a Tanger Outlets Fort Worth social media post.
