On Sept. 14, the Magnolia ISD board of trustees will vote to approve contracts to begin construction for Bond 2026 projects, review state financial reports and statewide testing results.
The breakdown: As previously reported, MISD passed a $465 million bond to fund multiple new campuses to address student overpopulation. At the upcoming regular meeting, the MISD board will vote to approve contracts to begin construction on 3 campuses and high school additions.
B&C Constructors, Inc. is currently proposed to build Elementary School #10 and Elementary School #11. Stewart Builders, Inc. will oversee the construction of High School #3, along with additions to Magnolia High School and Magnolia West High School.
The board will also review multiple financial reports, including end-of-year budget amendments presented by the MISD chief financial officer Erich Morris. MISD will also review its latest Financial Accountability Rating (FIRST) report.
One more thing: The workshop and regular board meeting will be held on Sept. 14 at the Magnolia ISD Event Center.
