Kyle voters are deciding a pair of races in the Dec. 13 runoff election, including the District 1 seat on Kyle City Council.
Early voting and absentee ballot totals were posted to the Hays County Elections website shortly after 7 p.m.
What we know: As of 7 p.m. Dec. 13, Courtney Goza led incumbent Bear Heiser with about 51.45% of the vote.
Some background: The District 1 seat on Kyle City Council resulted in a runoff election, as Kyle operates under a majority-vote system—meaning candidates must receive 50% plus one vote to win.
During the Nov. 4 election, Heiser led all candidates with approximately 39.56% of the vote, while Goza had about 26.94% of the vote, according to official results posted to the Hays County Elections website on Nov. 10.
