Lite-On Technology Corp. officials held a groundbreaking ceremony in August for the company's planned manufacturing facility in McKinney.
The gist: The ceremony marks the "official start" of building out a space at the Core5 Logistics Center, where the company has purchased two existing buildings spanning more than 650,000 square feet.
The new campus will support manufacturing, operational and engineering activities. Construction on part of the campus could be completed by August 2027, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
