The first phase of an over-200-home residential development called Havenwood will head to Flower Mound Town Council.

The planning and zoning commission unanimously recommended approval of the first phase’s subdivision site plan, along with five conditions, during the Feb. 23 meeting.

The overview: Havenwood is an over 447-acre residential development in western Flower Mound that will include a maximum of 222 single-family homes, said Chuck Russell, a principal planner with the town. The first phase includes up to 87 single-family lots.

The development is located south of Cross Timbers Road and is bordered by Shiloh Road to the east and Scenic Drive to the west. Toll Brothers will develop the neighborhood, which was originally approved by council members in May 2024, in four phases.

Looking ahead: The subdivision site plan is expected to be considered by council at the March 2 meeting.

Fast Lane Car Wash in Argyle to open in May

Fast Lane Car Wash in Argyle will be finishing up construction and anticipates opening in May, said Naomi Lane, a representative at Fast Lane Car Wash.

“At Fast Lane, customers will experience our state-of-the-art ceramic tunnel system, designed for efficiency and superior results,” Lane said. “Our express exterior wash gets vehicles through the tunnel in approximately three minutes, delivering a deeper clean with intensive prep and a commitment to quality backed by our Clean Car Guarantee.”

The details: The car wash uses closed-cell foam brushes that do not absorb dirt, reducing the risk of surface contamination, she said. Additionally, their ceramic chemistry will create a protective layer to ensure cars don’t lose paint.

Customers can also clean the interior of their cars at no extra cost with vacuum stations, air hoses and mat cleaners, Lane said.
