Uniqlo coming soon to Barton Creek Square

Uniqlo, a Japanese clothing brand, is coming to Barton Creek Square with construction concluding in September 2026, per a recent Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing.

The overview: Uniqlo offers men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and accessories.

Construction for the storefront began in February 2025 and is estimated to cost $2.4 million, according to the TDLR filing. Construction is expected to end in September.

The details: Uniqlo currently has five stores across the state, located in the Houston and Dallas areas.

West Lake Hills OKs new budget amendments, $200K property tax revenue bump

West Lake Hills City Council approved a new budget amendment for the fiscal year 2025-26 budget at a workshop May 6.

The amendment includes changes to the general fund revenue, general fund expenses, the street maintenance fund and bond funds.

The details
Increases:

  • $75,000 for a city engineer

  • $20,000 for the monthly brush pick-up program

  • $360,000 for artificial intelligence traffic signals

  • $20,000 for Campo Grant-Eanes Trail

  • $130,000 for North Peak Road drainage projects


Decreases:

  • $140,000 for fire safety/brush pick up programs

  • $150,000 for consultant fees


What’s next: City staff will incorporate the approved amendment into the FY 2025-26 budget as projects and expenditures move forward, according to city documents.
