Q&A: Lone Star College’s chief mental health officer, Shantha Stokes, discusses her role, new initiatives

Bazcon US marks 1-year anniversary in Porter

In February, Bazcon US is marking one year since opening in Porter, a spokesperson for the company confirmed in December.

What they offer: According to the company's website, Bazcon US provides services such as:

  • Electrical work, including lighting
  • Mechanical work with heating, ventilation and AC systems
  • Plumbing work, including pools and fountains

Innovation Space to hold grand opening at the Kevin Brady Library

The Innovation Center at the Kevin Brady Library and Community Center will hold a grand opening Feb. 19.

What to know: The Innovation Space includes a podcast studio that features a digital mixer, professional-grade microphones, individual control panels as well as editing software provided by Howard Hughes Communities. The area also includes a Maker Space with a collaborative environment for hands-on creation, experimentation and design provided by Vogt Engineering, according to a news release.
