Road resurfacing, sewer line replacements: Check out updates on 5 projects affecting roads in Allen

Interested in roadwork updates impacting Allen residents? Here are updates on various upcoming and ongoing construction projects in the city of Allen.

1. Hillside Village neighborhood road resurfacing
Project: City-led repairs and upgrades to neighborhood streets are underway across Allen as part of a city-led annual street maintenance program, including in the Hillside Village neighborhood. About 20,500 square yards of the neighborhood’s streets will see asphalt slurry seal applied, which is a surface treatment that will cover minor defects and improve the riding surface.
Update: Efforts to apply slurry seal in the Hillside Village neighborhood are 90% completed and are slated for completion before the end of June.

2. US 75 Green Ribbon project
Project: The work will add enhancements to landscaping, erosion control, irrigation and new decorative rock to key intersections along the US 75 corridor, including Stacy Road, McDermott Drive and Bethany Drive.
Update: Texas Department of Transportation officials authorized advertising the construction project in early June. Officials expect to award the construction project by October.
