From fall festivals to live music, take a look at these seven events happening in Keller, Roanoke and north Fort Worth this October. This list is not comprehensive.

Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track Championship

The Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track will host one of the largest dirt track racing in the county. The divisions racing include Modifieds, Limited Modifieds and Factory Stocks. Guests can watch from the grandstands and secure pit passes for an up-close look.

Celebrate Roanoke

The city of Roanoke will host its 29th-annual fall festival, complete with western entertainment, live music, a variety of food vendors, artisan vendors and family-friendly activities that includes carnival rides and games.

Pal’s Bar & Kitchen is now open in north Fort Worth, according to a social media post.

What’s on the menu: The restaurant offers craft burgers, Tex-Mex options and made-from-scratch pasta, according to its website. The menu also features salads, sandwiches, wings, seafood and desserts such as cheesecake, tiramisu and sorbets. In addition, there are gluten-friendly options.

In the bar, eight different beers are on tap while mixed drinks and wine are also offered.

Voters will choose between Republican candidate Alan Blaylock and Democratic candidate Ericka Lomick for the Texas House District 93 vacancy this Nov. 3 election.

The details: According to the Texas Secretary of State website, House District 93 is part of the general election and is a special election, meaning it will be on the ballot twice. Attempts for clarification from the Texas Secretary of State and the Tarrant County Election Administration office about the ballot order were unanswered.

What you need to know: Texas House District 93 represents parts of Tarrant County, which includes a portion of north Fort Worth, Saginaw and Haslet.

Candidates were asked to keep responses within 50 words, answer the questions provided and avoid attacking opponents. Answers may have been edited or cut to adhere to those guidelines, or for style and clarity. Candidates are listed in alphabetical order by last name.

1. Legacy Drive widening: Legacy Drive will be widened from Lebanon Road to Stonebrook Parkway in Frisco. Stonebrook Parkway will also be widened from Legacy Drive to 4th Army Drive as part of the project. The roadways will also be reconstructed along with the widening.
Update: The project is currently in the design phase. Construction is set to start later this year.

2. East Virginia Street improvements: Reconstruction of East Virginia Street in McKinney will occur between Murray Street and Airport Drive. The project will include a new alignment and connection to Airport Drive and a new roundabout at the intersection of Virginia Street and Lively Hill Lane.
Update: Design work is 90% complete. Franchise utility coordination and right-of-way acquisitions are underway. The project is expected to bid in early 2027.
