2 Grapevine roads to receive restriping under county agreement

There are two road segments in Grapevine scheduled to receive permanent roadway striping under an interlocal agreement between the city and Tarrant County.

Grapevine City Council approved the agreement during its May 19 meeting.

The details: According to the agreement, Tarrant County will provide labor, equipment and materials to stripe the following roads:

  • Oak Grove Loop from Dove Loop Road to Dove Road
  • East Wall Street from Jenkins Street to Austin Street

Striping work will occur from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Traffic may be reduced during work hours.

Under the agreement, Grapevine will pay up to $11,800.66 for paint materials and fuel while the county provides equipment and labor.

Also of note: The agreement states Grapevine will provide traffic control assistance if requested and notify nearby property owners before work begins. The city is also responsible for ensuring road surfaces are clean and ready before striping begins. A construction timeline has not yet been announced.

Champagne lounge Pop & Pour opens in Colleyville

Pop & Pour opened its Colleyville location in late May, according to a social media post. The lounge offers champagne, mimosas, sparkling wines from different countries and bites to eat.

What's on the menu: The menu includes mimosa flights, non-alcoholic drinks, charcuterie, hummus with flatbread, and sparkling wines from Italy, France, Chile and other regions.

The details: Jessica Glenn is the founder of Pop & Pour. The business celebrated its grand opening weekend with $5 mimosa specials, giveaways and gift cards, according to a social media post.

In their words: “Bubbles are a tradition, a celebration, and a way to savor life’s beautiful moments,” Glenn said. “That tradition inspired me to create Pop & Pour, a space where the spirit of celebration is always in the air."

Art Wheel Studio Art School rebrands in Roanoke, continues traditional fine arts training

Art Wheel Studio Art School LLC rebranded in Roanoke, continuing its mission of providing classical-style arts education rooted in traditional European fine art techniques for students of all ages, an April 22 social media post from the Metroport Chamber states.

Founder Liliana Nedzelska began teaching art in 2004 from her home in Keller before expanding into after-school programs and library instruction.

She later launched Art Wheel Studio in Roanoke in 2015 with her son, Stanislav Nedzelsky, according to previous reporting.
