Local restaurant and brewery to open new pizza parlor in Boerne

28 Songs Brewhouse + Kitchen announced plans for a new eatery called Carmella's Pizza Parlor through a Facebook post in late September.

What we know: The pizza parlor is a new neighborhood concept being developed by Don Kretz, the owner of 28 Songs Brewhouse + Kitchen and Chef Zachary Disch, founder of Z's Pizza, according to the post.

Carmella's Pizza Parlor will be located at 110 N. Market Ave. in Boerne—next to the craft brewery. The pizzeria will serve traditional, New York-style thin crust pizzas with house made ingredients. The restaurant will also have a small wine and beer bar along with arcade game cabinets.

Quote of note: Kretz said they were "thrilled" to bring Carmella's Pizza Parlor to life.

"This collaboration with Chef Disch allows us to expand our vision of creating welcoming, memorable dining experiences for our guests right here in North Boerne," Kretz said in the post.

What’s special about it? From health and hygiene products, housewares, car supplies and more, Teso Life has the standard offerings of a supermarket, although sourced internationally, according to their website.

There’s also an eclectic supply of Asian foods and beverages on sale, such as Japanese desserts, chips, sodas and more.
