In April 2026, there were 177 homes sold across Grapevine, Colleyville and Southlake, according to data from the MetroTex Association of Realtors.

What you need to know: The number of homes sold decreased by 7.81% year over year from 192 sold in April 2025.

There were also 312 new listings on the home market in April 2026, a 8.24% year over year decrease from 340 newly listed for sale in April 2025.

PNC Bank will close its Grapevine location on May 15.

The details: A sign on the door says the bank will permanently close at 3 p.m. and, following that, visit the Southlake location. A reason for the closing was not listed on the sign.

PNC Bank locations offer personal and business banking services, according to the company website.

The background: The location previously was BBVA Bank, which was acquired in 2020 by PNC Bank, according to a news release. Before that, it was Compass Bank, which merged with Texas Bank in 2006, according to a news release.

The last Spirit Airlines flight landed at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport on May 2.

The next day, the airline posted that it would cease operations.

According to a Texas Workforce Commission filing, more than 900 employees in Texas were laid off, including 444 at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. The other layoffs happened at Houston’s George Bush International Airport. The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act filing shows 119 pilots, 246 flight attendants and 79 additional employees were let go.

According to FlightRadar.com, the last flight went from Detroit Metro Airport to DFW Airport, landing at 12:09 a.m. on May 2.

Extra Space Storage renovation

A Frisco storage rental facility, Extra Space Storage, will create additional storage space and receive a vestibule and kiosk in the manager’s office, along with new furniture and lighting fixtures, according to documents filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
