With all polling locations reporting, former San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg has secured the majority of votes in the Democratic Primary election for the Bexar County judge.
A closer look: Incumbent Peter Sakai received 67,890 votes, or 37.80% of ballots cast. His opponent, Nirenberg, had 111,719 ballots cast in his favor, or 62.27% of the votes.
What else? Out of Bexar County's 1,295,920 voters, 759,397— or 58.60%—cast ballots in the March primary election, according to a report from the elections department.
