Judson ISD and University Health are expanding access to health care for the east side of San Antonio with the opening of two new facilities.
Officials celebrated the opening of a new health center and wraparound clinic Sept. 5.
Some details: The wraparound center—coupled with the health center—will serve as a "one-stop shop" for JISD students and staff, said Monica Garcia, executive director of student and family support services.
The Judson Health Center will better help serve communities on the east side of San Antonio, along with the hospital systems other clinics, University Health President and CEO Ed Banos told Community Impact.
The health center offers a broad range of health care services related to cough, congestion and runny nose, along with annual checkups for children and adults. The Judson Health Center also provides sports physicals, said Leo Lopez III, University Health's chief community and population health officer.
The wraparound service center provides extended counseling services and is equipped with a music room, sensory room, calming room and art room, along with office space.
