The backstory: Interfaith Community Clinic is marking 30 years of providing healthcare to uninsured people in Montgomery County this November. Originally founded as South County Community Clinic, it is a project of Interfaith of The Woodlands. Following the vision of Dr. Joel Kerschenbaum, the clinic now sees nearly 6,000 patient visits each year. In addition to medical and behavioral health services, the clinic offers:
Comprehensive medical checkups
Assistance with managing chronic conditions
Essential preventive care for women
Lab and diagnostic services
Beyond its main clinic, it has a location in Cut and Shoot and partners with Compassion United to care for individuals experiencing homelessness.
What's happening?: The clinic will host its 30 Years of Hope, Healing & Health anniversary reception from 5-7 p.m. Nov. 16 at Amerigo’s Grille in The Woodlands. Underwritten by Amerigo's Grille, the event will bring together supporters, partners, volunteers and friends to reflect on the clinic.
