The 40th annual GrapeFest is set to take place along Main Street in downtown Grapevine Sept. 17-20. The event will include grape stomping, a people’s choice wine tasting competition, live music and carnival games.

The details: The festival has helped put Texas wines on the map, city officials said. This year’s event will have a special commemoration for the 50th anniversary of The Judgment of Paris, which is when Napa Valley-produced wines outperformed French wines at a 1976 tasting event.

Festival times and adult admission prices include:

• Sept. 17: 11 a.m.-10 p.m.; free admission all day
• Sept. 18: 11 a.m.-11 p.m.; free admission before 5 p.m., $12 (adults after 5 p.m.)
• Sept. 19: 11 a.m.-11 p.m.; $12 (adults)
• Sept. 20: 11 a.m.-6 p.m.; $12 (adults)

The new Vidorra has opened its doors in Grapevine.

What's on the menu: The Mexican restaurant’s menu includes fajitas, enchiladas, street tacos, flautas and housemade guacamole. Diners can also order molcajete bowls, such as the queso blanco or parrillada en fuego, which is an assortment of meat and vegetables.

What else: Vidorra’s drink menu has a variety of cocktails, including a soft serve margarita, which mixes a frozen margarita and soft serve ice cream, and la isla dorada. The restaurant also offers a weekend brunch.

A Maya Creamery & Lounge location is now open in Southlake. 

The store sells rolled ice cream and other sweets and drinks like bubble tea, crêpes, macarons and fruit fusion tea. The store also offers several flavors of falooda, a dessert made with rice noodles, basil seeds, nuts and ice cream. 

The new location also includes a sitting area with couches and games, including a foosball table, a claw machine and a Pac-Man arcade machine.

1. Coleman Street Widening
Project: Coleman Street in Prosper is being widened to four lanes. One project will widen the roadway from two to four lanes between Gorgeous Road and Prosper Trail, and a second project will construct the remaining two southbound lanes of Coleman Street between Prosper Trail and Prosper High School.
Update: Both projects are nearing completion of the design phase. The town has acquired necessary right of way for both sections, and utility relocation is underway.
