1. Timber Valley Drive and Fairfield Lane reconstruction
Project: Both projects include the replacement of the street, sidewalks, sewer lines and water lines. The Timber Valley project will take place between Cross Timbers Road and River Oaks Drive. Fairfield Lane construction will occur between Timber Valley and Summer Trail.
Update: Town officials plan to send the project out to bid in February.

Tom Thumb in Harvest Town Center near Argyle will be opening early March, said Christy Lara, director of public relations at Tom Thumb. 

The 63,000-square-foot store will include a bakery, deli products, meat & seafood, produce and floral items. The store will also include a Starbucks, a pharmacy with a drive-thru and Drive-Up-N-Go grocery pick-up.

Customers can start shopping on March 6 at 6 a.m., Lara said. 

The store broke ground in January, 2025, according to previous Community Impact reporting.

1. Bloomdale Road and Spur 195 realignment
Project: A construction and realignment project for the 4-lane Bloomdale Road will create a new connection at SH 5. A multilane roundabout will also be constructed at the intersection of Bloomdale Road and Spur 195.
Update: Design work on the project is 30% completed.

TOCA Social, a European interactive soccer-themed entertainment destination, is set to open its first American location March 6 in Grandscape in The Colony.

The overview: The venue will have 20 playing boxes, which are semi-private spaces, where guests play games, eat and drink.

Each space will have an interactive digital screen with five soccer ball-oriented game options.
