What you need to know: Republican incumbent Matt Shaheen is running against Democratic candidate Sandeep Srivastava.

The gist: The District 66 seat represents parts of Prosper, Celina, Frisco, Plano and more.

Drybar is open at the Gates of Prosper, the business confirmed on social media.

What they offer: The salon specializes in blowout services that include washing, drying and styling, and clients can choose from add-ons like hair masks and scalp massages, according to the company’s website.

How we got here: Johnson and Middleton each won their primary runoff elections in May, Community Impact reported, while Oxford was selected as the Texas Libertarian Party's candidate during an April nominating convention.

Looking ahead: Early voting in eight statewide races and dozens of local elections runs from Oct. 19-30. Election Day is Nov. 3.
