DART names interim CEO as Nadine Lee steps down

Dallas Area Rapid Transit named Gene Gamez as the transit agency’s acting president and CEO, according to an April 4 news release. Former President and CEO Nadine Lee announced in late March that she would not seek an extension on her contract, and the agency’s board terminated her contract earlier this week.

The details: Lee’s contract was set to end Sept. 30. According to the news release, DART officials began discussions with Lee to transition her out of her position earlier than September, but could not reach a consensus. Therefore, the agency decided to terminate Lee’s contract April 4.
