Legacy area residents and workers say they'd like to see more housing options and gathering spaces in the region, according to a city survey.
Plano's planning and zoning commission were presented the latest findings at a meeting Sept. 8.
The gist: 17% of respondents saw a need for new housing, with a range of requests from multi-family options to townhomes and single-family options.
Dig deeper: More than half of the survey respondents were Plano residents from outside the Legacy area, while 27% of respondents were people who work in the Legacy area. 2% of respondents live and work in the Legacy area.
Looking ahead: Zahir said the city plans to establish new goals and strategies for the Legacy area and its new subareas.
