Prosper officials OK development plans at Frontier Parkway, future DNT

Frontier Gateway, a commercial development on the southwest corner of Frontier Parkway and Dallas Parkway, is moving forward after nine months of review.

What happened: The commission approved a preliminary site plan for the development at an Aug. 18 meeting, and Prosper Town Council approved an accompanying development agreement at a Sept. 22 meeting.

Long story short: After first seeing preliminary plans for the development in December 2025, members of the Prosper Planning and Zoning Commission worked with the applicants to modify the project’s layout and proposed uses.

The details: The development will mainly consist of retail and restaurants with limited office space near the southwest corner, according to the plan.

Quote of note: “It’s been a long road, but I think the development is in a really, really good spot,” Commissioner Josh Carson said at the Aug. 18 meeting.
