Oct. 6 public hearing scheduled for Scooter's Coffee in Boerne

A public hearing is scheduled for Oct. 6 for the Boerne Planning and Zoning Commission to discuss a special use permit for a Scooter’s Coffee located off I-10 near Cascade Caverns Road.

The details: The proposed development is located in the Scenic Interstate Corridor Overlay District, which establishes design and development standards for the area. The permit would allow for an accessory drive-thru for the 668-square-foot Scooter’s Coffee.

According to the P&Z agenda, the proposed drive-thru is designed to accommodate up to 14 vehicles in the queue and provides an escape lane. The site plan identifies five on-site spaces, including one Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant stall, with an additional 10 shared spaces available, for a total of 15.

Founded in 1998, Nebraska-based Scooter’s Coffee offers a selection of hot and iced beverages alongside a variety of food items.
