After 14 years in business, pizza restaurant Crooked Crust near the University of North Texas permanently shut its doors on Feb. 27, according to an announcement on the company website.
What happened? The announcement stated a drop in sales, coupled with rising operational costs, made the business unsustainable.
“We’re choosing to close with dignity rather than compromise quality or our people. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who supported us over the years,” the announcement read.
Crooked Crust offered specialty pizzas, such as the Mean Green pizza, individual pizza slices, salads and sandwiches.
